Just to share :)

In the middle of the busy scheduling, content assessments, untied shoes, herding the troops, fire drills, broken pencils, counseling sessions or whatever mini drama might come up during the school day, it's little things like this that makes me stop and reflect on how much I really love my job. Thank you for sharing your children with me. I sometimes feel l learn more from them than I teach. :)

We've had a great week learning about and celebrating the Kentucky Derby!
We made our own jockey silks online!
We learned about the famous Churchill Downs!

Wellington has our own "Wellington Derby!" We had a blast watching the races and enjoying our ice cream.

Sa'Nyah placed 3rd in the Kindergarten Derby!

Here's the video of her victory! :)

Math Workshop

We have implemented a new time of the day; Math Workshop. Students work in pairs and independently on math concepts we are currently working on. They practice with flashcards, computer activities or other games.

Reading Workshop

Reading Workshop is one of our favorite times of the day! Students work on word work, reading and writing that is focused on what we are currently doing in the classroom.
