Good Luck in First Grade!

To the parents of my students,

Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your child with me. After spending nine months together in the narrow confines of our classroom, we have grown close as a classroom family. We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but I must give them back to you now. Take care of them, for they are so precious.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is watching my students go from little blank slates in August to reading and writing students in June. Their transformation is inspiring, exciting, and powerful. However, their transformation is not solitary. I have grown, learned, reflected and became a better person as a result of your children. Thank you for entrusting me with them and allowing me the time to grow with them.

I will always be interested in your children and what they do, where they go or who they become.  Just as I have in the past year, I will always be happy to share their joys and sorrows. I will always be their friend.

Thank you for all you do,
Mrs. Bratton J
