The week before break was our "Pete the Cat" week! The kiddos has a blast! We spent time reading all of his books and engaging in fun Pete activities. Here are the kids' pictures of Pete they created for our bulletin board.
We have been so fortunate to receive a grant that provides our school with healthy snacks. Recently, we received lemons and limes. We learned how to add lemon or lime to our water like grown ups do at restaurants The kids enjoyed our fancy water and graham crackers in our very own Cafe Kindergarten! :)
This is my ninth year of teaching and my third year at Wheeler Elementary! I have taught first grade (08'-10') and Kindergarten (10'-present). I ABSOLUTELY love my Kindergarten kiddos! I adore this age group and love helping young learners through hands-on discovery. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in English and Communications from the University of Louisville (GO CARDS!!) in 2008, my Masters in Elementary Education from Indiana University Southeast in 2012 and my National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading-Language Arts in 2013. Aside from teaching, I love spending time with my husband Joey, my son, Hudson, my Yorkie, Gordon, family and friends. In my spare time, I love cheering on my UofL Cardinals, eating sushi, crafting and reading. Thanks for stopping by!
