Happy Holidays From Room 104!

Our class has been busy celebrating the holidays! We were fortunate to be visited by our own elf on the shelf, Snowball. Snowball likes to hide in our Christmas tree with our Kwanzaa muhindi and homemade Hanukkah dreidel.

Welcome to the 2012-2013 Year!

While it is a bit delayed, I am excited to begin featuring my 2012-2013 kindergarten kiddos on the blog! We've been up to a lot since school has begun and I want to use this post as a quick update on what we've been doing in room 104.

The kids have been working very hard on learning to measure the length of their feet!

Observing the characteristics of snails
Working on counting skills together in math workshop
Writing sight words in shaving cream!

Our Trip to the Zoo!

We visited the zoo last week and despite the rainy weather, had a blast! Here are some highlights from our trip!

Excited smiles on the way to the zoo!

We took a class  and learned about the different types of bears.

The seals liked showing off for us!

The Hippo was very active as well!

The Lions roared for us!

The Orangutan was very interested in the kiddos

All tuckered out! What a great day at the zoo!

We are learning to partner share!

The Kingergarten Kids say....
"Today we learned to sit knee-to-knee with our partners. We brainstormed ways that we have fun with our families during writing time."
