Holiday Fun!

The kids had a great time learning about the traditions of Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Christmas. Here are a couple pictures of them enjoying their activities!

Longer or Shorter?

Yesterday, the kiddos were hard at work measuring objects around the room to determine if they were shorter or longer than their string! Can you find something long or short at your house? 

Career Month Fun!

I'm We've had many visitors come visit us this month to share about their careers! Here is some of the fun we've been having...

Mrs. Chagala is a birth certificate clerk and she came and talked to us about the responsibilities of her job! The kids even got to make pretend foot prints like she does of the newborns! 

Mrs. Barringer is the owner of Jimbo's BBQ (YUM!). She came and spoke to students about how to run a restaurant and being an entrepreneur! We talked about what type of businesses they would like to open on their own. 

Dr. Taylor is a dentist who came and spoke to the kids about his career path and dental hygiene. They loved learning about the names of their teeth and how to brush in circles! 

Turkeys at Work!

My room was full of little turkeys who worked very hard today! Happy Thanksgiving! 

Turkeys in Disguise!

The kids had a great time helping Mr. Turkey find a disguise to keep him hidden during Thanksgiving! Thank you to all the families for helping the students create their designs! Good luck finding turkey for your holiday! :) 

Slow Poke Fun!

The kids (and grown ups!) had a great time on our field trip to Slow Poke Farm!

We started our trip off with a lesson from "Mamaw" about shucking corn and its uses

The kids even got to have a corn shucking competition! 

 The kids got to take their corn they shucked to feed to the goat and sheep.

Then we got a lesson about chickens in the hen house!

 Feeding the ducks in the pond was a blast!

 Next up was our hayride! The kids loved it!

Feeding the cows was hilarious! The kiddos loved it when the cows licked their hands!

Getting turned around in the corn maze was a highlight!

 Finally, THE PUMPKIN PATCH!

I think it's safe to say, the kids had a blast! :)
